Today's Topic: Annual New Year’s Predictions

No. 2821
8 JANUARY 2021
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Fellow Rotarians,

I hope it’s not too late to wish every Rotarians a belated Happy New Year. The last time we met was on 17th Dec 2020 for a fabulous Christmas dinner at PP Nick’s. I must say the event was well organized with special thanks to the hosts PP Nick and K.Meow along with superb arrangement by PP Don and Madame Danielle. The event had a great turn out with great fellowship.

As we enter 2021 with high hopes for much brighter year, the unfortunate resurgence of many Covid-19 cases appear throughout majorities of the provinces in Thailand. For many of us who reside in Bangkok, the BMA has made the public announcement to protect the local residents by enforcing the soft lockdown. Thus, the inevitable prevention for RCBS to hold our usual luncheon meeting is postponed until the situation improves.

Further to the immediate effect of us not being able to enjoy our regular luncheon, we have already arranged to resume the Zoom meetings starting on 8th January, I also would like to take this opportunity to announce that our plan for COS scheduled for 29th January will have to be cancelled. This decision is not only to comply with the BMA’s announcement, but more importantly for the safety of our members and the general public.

The Zoom meeting tomorrow will be an internal program with New Year predictions by our very own PP Mike Doyle, VP David Record, and Rtn.Ragil Ratnam. K.Khob has already sent out the log-in ID and password. Please feel free to log-in from 11:45 hrs for Zoom fellowships and our program will commence at 12:30 hrs. I hope to see as many of you as possible. Stay safe and stay strong.

Have a social distancing and safe weekend.

President Yod Tantianunanont
